Celebrate the season with the Charles City Arts Center’s Holiday Art Market, featuring up to 30 local and regional artists working across 2D and 3D mediums. From paintings and prints to ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, textiles, and more—discover unique, handcrafted gifts for everyone on your list!

Holiday Art Market Bucks - free money for ART!
Register for a chance to win up to $100 in "Holiday Art Market Bucks" at one of the many participating locations in downtown Charles City. Art Market Bucks can be used towards the purchase of artwork online or at the Charles City Arts Center during our Holiday Art Market.

Pink Friday + Opening Day, November 21st, 10am-5pm
Pink Friday is a collective of independent local businesses in Charles City with an array of special offers and treats to celebrate local and small businesses. Get those names checked of your holiday shopping list while enjoying everything Charles City has to offer.

Holiday Open House Celebration
Join us for the Holiday Open House on Thursday, December 5, from 4:30–7:30pm —perfectly timed around Charles City’s Holiday Lighted Parade and fireworks! Enjoy festive activities, snacks, and refreshments while you browse new art and meet fellow art lovers.

Bake Off: Holiday Cookie Competition!
What are the holidays without a little friendly competition?😉
Call or email us to register. Bake a family favorite, or try a new recipe! Drop off your cookies by 3pm on December 5th. Each registered participant can bring 1-3 different recipes, but will only be eligible to win ONE of the cash prizes.
Arts Council members and staff are not eligible to win. Cookie sale to follow the competition- all cookies remaining after competition judging is complete will be added to the sale. Voluntary cookie donations are also welcome and appreciated! All proceeds from the cookie sale will benefit the Charles City Arts Center.
Fireside Story Time with Shaune
Shaune Fields, our Assistant Director and the Preschool Director at St. John's Christian Preschool, will be reading to kids of all ages around the fireplace on December 19th from 5-7pm. Kids of all ages are welcome to this open-house event!
Readings start at 5:30pm, 6pm, and 6:30pm, with snack breaks in between!
