CHARLES CITY, Iowa (11-5-22) - First things first: THANK YOU for all who helped make Monster Bash last weekend a big success. It was great to see all of your faces and sometimes.. try to figure out faces behind all of the great costumes. I had a blast! And I hope you did as well. THANK YOU!
With Monster Bash behind us we are all "eyes forward" to the holidays and our next fundraiser.
Global Cafe comes back on the 19th of this month. We will have food from 16 countries made by 13 chefs. Your ticket allows you a sample of each dish.
AND... this year we will have wine pairings with select dishes via Prologue Books and Wine. Prologue has some great wines and we are super excited to have them be a part of the event this year. Should be a great night for fine dining!
Tickets are $25 per person. They can be purchased HERE or at the door.
Our exhibit for this month is titled "Piece by Piece" from artist Mike Hassig of Iowa Falls. It is a collection of collages that are all matted and framed and ready for your walls. Michael took home the blue ribbon at this years Art-A-Fest and we think his work is superb. The opening reception took place last night - November 4th - and though the rains kept some people home and warm, we still had a great time with the brave souls who left warm homes to see the show and to see us.
The show will be up until November 30th, so you have plenty of time to come see it.

On November 25th (Black Friday), we are offering a class taught by Meredith Hamm. Two classes actually... Two sessions of the same class: 12-3pm and 4-7pm. Art & a Movie!
Shop in peace and quiet... floating upon sea of other tranquil shoppers... on the busiest shopping day of the year... OK... that's pushing it, BUT you can shop knowing your kids are in a safe place. They will be watching How To Train Your Dragon and having snacks, followed by Viking ship building and shield design.
They will be at peace and having a fun-filled movie and art adventure while you casually try to wrestle a 42" flat-screen TV away from your neighbor. I kid... sort of... not you of course.
Tickets are $25 for members and $35 for non-members.
